Established in 1998 (with the practice being in Rutherglen since 1974) Mitchell Dental Care is a friendly family orientated dentists.

We offer a wide range of treatments to the community throughout Rutherglen, Cambuslang, Burnside and Toryglen .. and sometimes from further afield. Dental Surgeon

Dr. Paul Mitchell has been the principal dental surgeon at the practice since June 1998. He qualified from Glasgow University in1986 with the Degree of 'Bachelor of Dental Surgery' and has been registered with the General Dental Council since that day. He has experience in Hospital Dentistry, Oral Surgery and both general and private dentistry. He has undertaken Postgraduate studies in all aspects of dentistry, including Aesthetic Smile Design, Minimally Invasive Dentistry and Dental Implants.

This has included study and training at The Royal College of Surgeons, England and the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Paul enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially providing care to families in the surrounding community.

Dental Surgeon

Paul graduated from Glasgow in 2006 and has worked at Mitchell Dental Care since then. 

Paul enjoys all aspects of Dentistry and has a particular interest in treating nervous patients. With this in mind he completed the NES course in Dental Sedation and uses IV sedation techniques to help patients who are anxious about dental treatment.

Head Nurse

Charlene started her dental nursing career within Glasgow Dental Hospital and joined the team at Mitchell Dental Care in 2010.  

Since then she has continued to progress and achieve various qualifications including Childsmile and Sedation.  Charlene enjoys nursing alongside our nervous patients and helping them overcome their dental phobia.

Jean has been with Mitchell Dental Care since 1999 and ensures the smooth running of the practice for both patients and staff alike. Jean is always available to assist with any patients' concerns before, during or after treatment. An essential part of the team!

Dental Nurse

Stacey has been a dental nurse since leaving school at 16 in 2006. She attended Langside college one evening per week and was awarded an NVQ in dental nursing in 2010. Stacey previously worked in 2 other practices in South Lanarkshire before joining Mitchell Dental Care in January 2017. 

She currently works part time and very much enjoys her job working in Mitchell Dental Care as a dental nurse.

Stacey's long term goals in dentistry are to eventually move into Practice Management.

Dental Nurse

Elizabeth started dental nursing in 2006 at Coatbridge College and qualified in 2008.  Elizabeth completed the Childsmile course in 2016 and has just recently passed the Implant sedation exam. Elizabeth has also done Ortho for 5 years. Qualifications: Implant assisting 2008, Childsmile 2009 & Sedation 2014.

Dental Nurse

Louise Gourlay is an experienced dental nurse who has worked in the Glasgow area and started working at Mitchell’s dental practice in 2018. She has completed her Facial Asthetics course in Harley Street London.

Dental Nurse

Nicola qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2016 and joined Mitchell Dental Care in 2018.  Nicola is currently training towards a PDA in Sedation.  

Nicola enjoys being part of the team and her role supporting patients chair side.
